Deadline to submit scholarship applications with requisite proof of eligibility: May 31, 2026 at 11:59 P.M. PST 

Eligibility Requirements and Award Criteria

Primary Award Criteria: 

• Academic/professional achievement, including grades, awards, and accolades

• Community/extracurricular involvement

• Work history

Additional Award Criteria

• Leadership

• Participation in SDPA activities

• Personal or family attributes

• Personal interview (may be required)

Restrictions

• At its sole discretion, the SDPA Scholarship Committee will annually disburse one scholarship of $500 to a member to use toward NALA certification.

• Nonrenewable.

• Scholarship must be applied towards NALA Certified and/or Advanced Certified Paralegal exam fee and study materials related to the NALA CP and/or ACP exam.

• High school diploma or GED and a college degree/certification are required.

• Must be currently enrolled and attending full- or part-time in a paralegal program the time of the scholarship application OR

• Must be currently employed as a paralegal in San Diego County.

2. Application deemed ineligible if false information is included
3. Scholarship to be award at June Paralegal Night
